Our story
It started with one desk.
Wrkspace Co. began with a straightforward idea: the room you spend your day in should be a room you actually want to be in.
Too many of us were working from the worst corner of the house. A dining chair pulled up to the kitchen table. A laptop propped on a stack of books. Harsh overhead light, cables everywhere. It got the job done — but it never felt good, and how a room feels changes how you work in it.
So we started at the desk. Mats, stands, organisers, lamps — the small things that turn a corner of a room into a space with some intent behind it.
Then something we didn't plan for started happening.
What changed
The desk was only the beginning.
When we brought lighting into the range, our customers took it somewhere we hadn't expected. Someone would buy a desk lamp for the study, then come back a fortnight later for a pendant over the dining table. A floor lamp for the reading corner. A little glass lamp for the bedside.
They weren't shopping for an office. They were furnishing a home.
And it made sense. The things that make a desk work — good light, clean lines, nothing you have to fight with — are exactly the things that make a living room feel calm at eight o'clock on a Tuesday. Work and home stopped being separate places years ago. Most of us have been living in the overlap ever since.
So we followed our customers into the rest of the house.
Where we are now

The range keeps growing, and the standard behind it hasn't moved. Everything we list has to look considered, do its job properly, and be worth what we're asking for it. If it wouldn't go in our own homes, it doesn't go in the store.
